| A hearts yearning Submitted By: Dee | 1975 to about 1985 I attended the Church of Christ. My heart has never left it. This year has been hard. In December my adopted daughter was assaulted by her mom. January my mom passed away suddenly. April floods came, August I was arrested (No I did nothing wrong, just have to see it to its end). September floods again. My body and spirit is tired. My health has been failing for nearly two years now. It is in these times my heart and faith cry out for the fellowship of other Christians of my faith. I attend other Churches, have never stopped going to Church...my faith is always with the Church of Christ. I miss having the strength of united prayers, of the belief that we can really pray for one another. As I said I am tired, and in fact have little strength for these battles that have come. I have been the strong one, I fought to beat death as a youth, then again at age 33. I beat the odds and shook Saint Peters hand and said nice to meet you, but I still have work to do. But now I just do not have it in me to fight against people, government, and disasters. I need to fight to win the health battles, and even now I have found I am not giving it all. My wife , Mary, is worried, and so am I. So I ask for prayers, I ask for strength to do the day by day fight, because as today--it just was not in me and I hate the tears in Mary\\\'s eyes. | 09-27-2011 |
